To the Latas family: I extend my condolences to you on the passing of a good man and a firefighter's firefighter. I met Chief Latas when I was fanning at Eng.Co 13's old house on Dearborn. His wonderful humor and many kindnesses will not be forgotten. May he rest in peace.
