Sydney Tho-Maz Obituary
Tho-Maz, Sydney C. retired Chicago Public School Teacher, passed away Friday, May 23, 2008 at Northwestern Hospital. He will be sorely missed by family, friends, neighbors and the many students he inspired to have an optimistic and positive attitude. Sydney retired in 2004 from the Special Education Services Department at Jesse Spaulding High School. He taught for a brief period at The Latin School of Chicago, Brentano School, Parker, Collins, Marshall, Sullivan and Hirsch High Schools. Visitation 10 a.m., Friday, May 30, 2008 at First Baptist Congregational Church, 1613 W. Washington at Ashland Ave. Funeral to follow at 11 a.m. Interment following the service at Mt. Hope Cemetery, 115th & Fairfield, Chicago. Info. 773-488-7300To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

I was blessed to have this beautiful soul as my home room teacher. He taught me such much and opened my eyes to a whole new world in music. Thank you for your kindness and support during my highschool years.
