Donald Eugene Hudson of Joliet, IL by way of Orrville, OH, was born November 18, 1929, in Toledo, OH; and made his transition on December 26, 2025, surrounded by family in Orrville, OH. Donald was a fire chief at Uniroyal Army Ammunition Plant for 42 years while owning and operating the renowned Joliet Sahara Lounge for 47 years. A long-time, active member of Joliet's Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church, Donald will be funeralized on Friday, January 9, 2026, at the church located at 1710 Carey Street in Joliet, IL. A visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00 AM followed by services officiated by Senior Pastor Martin. Interment will be immediately following at Woodlawn Cemetery I.
