In Loving Memory of Susan M. Hesse-Ellsworth 12/16/47 - 3/10/2017
She passed from this world on Friday, March 10th at the Hospicare Residence of Ithaca, due to Alzheimers. She is predeceased by her parents and her brother. She is survived by her husband Allen Ellsworth and his brother and sister Chris and Corinne Cornell. She is also survived by the family of her nephew Eric Hesse and as well as her cousins Gretchen Hesse-Yanes and Linda Hesse-Brinneman.
She was always trying to make the world better, from being a founding builder of the Liz Christy Garden in NYC to rehabilitating neglected parks with the Binghamton Quaker Group and helping teach ESL. She spent her last years at home in Ithaca NY, enjoying life and being a member of the Binghamton Quaker group. Always bringing light, love and happiness into the lives of her family and many friends. She never lost her grace, humor and a smile that would light up the room no matter where she was. I loved spending time with cousin Sue. Every year we would make a trip to Saranac Lake NY as a family. We would spend several weeks reconnecting. I miss her intelligent conversations and stories of the past. She was loved and adored . I find peace she is in heaven fully restored.
