Susan Frese Obituary

I worked with her for a couple of years and in that time she endeared herself to me. I was on vacation and came back to the news of her passing. My heart just broke - even to this day when I walk past the building she used to work in, I get a lump in my throat. I remember her EVERY DAY! I miss you Susan but hope that where you are now is painless and peaceful.

Sue was a wonderful person. From the time I met her as an 18 year old to her last visit to my office, she was always smiling and made everyone feel comfortable in her presence. Our prayers go out to her, her family and friends. The world will be a little colder without the warmth of Sue's personality. God Bless her and all who benefited from her friendship.

Susan was my best friend of 42+ years. She was my mentor, confidant, and taught me so many things about life in general. She was a woman of high integrity and unique honesty. Her smile was infectious and her candor and humor extraordinary. I will never have a bond with anyone like this again. There simply was no one like her. My heart is broken. My love to her entire family. I will miss her more than I can articulate.

I was Susan's Personal Trainer for the past four years. During that time Susan and I developed a friendship and comradery that is rare these days. She cared about me like a son, and always had my best interest in mind. She would always support me in any endeavor, and she was always so thoughtful. She had "Treat week" where she would bring me gift cards she had won at a raffle, or tomatoes from her and her Mother's garden. On Christmas she would go over the top and we would find a spot in the corner of the gym to exchange gifts for one another. She never ceased to amaze me how she could always be so thoughtful, and considerate. She was sweet, stubborn, funny, and not afraid to speak her mind. We had great talks together about life and love and she always lended a good ear for all of my bad dates. In our friendship we found a way to tolerate the mundane and untolerable situations and people in life, and for one hour a day, four days a week for four years we became best friends.

I am on my way to Europe for a three week trip that she encouraged and my heart is broken that I am just finding out this news as I depart. The world lost a rare kind and loving soul and I will never forget her.
