Steve Butera Obituary

I was in Chicago on May with my son,daughter and 2 of my grandchildren. I went to the cemetery, but I couldn't find you or Aunt Stella. Hopefully I can go back next year and find you. I need that closure. I miss all of my family.

I will always remember my Uncle Steve. He was a great man, loving husband and father. good friend to many. He lives on in all of our hearts.

Thanks for making it rain in Cleveland so the Cubs could get it together and finally win the World Series.

I wish you and Busia could have seen it.

Heike and I finally moved back to Chicago after 10 years.

Stephen is 5, he is really a character- you would have had a great time teasing him. He would tease you back too!

Emilia will be 1 the day after Thanksgiving. She has two teeth popping out, she loves her brother and the dog.

We all miss you guys.

Hey Pops:

We met the newest member of our family last week--Charlie! He is a cutie and Maggie is so excited to be a "big sister" now. You knew all along Beth was having a boy!



Busia bought the kids lots of stuff from the new store. I think you'd like it. My Dad is doing a great job of taking care of Busia. She's in good hands everyday.

Pops will be greatly missed. He always treated us like we were his grandchildren too. I will always remember our fun times at Zambooka and our little chats in Italian even though I had no idea what he was saying. I love you guys.

Grandps and I always talked sports together and he was always interested to see where I was with school. I was glad to give him Cubs tickets for his last game.

You have touched so many lives and did so many great things for everyone. Your memory will live on in the hearts of all of your family members. Rest in Peace with my Grandma and Grandpa up in heaven. Play all the card games you want, and give us some luck down here! We need it! Please watch over us everyday.

Auntie Stella and cousins, I feel such a loss in my heart and life. Uncle Stevie was a great man. I will never forget how he helped our family through the years as I was growing up and continued to help anyone who needed it. I will remember the Easter holiday when he would eat my jelly beans.
