Stella Sheehan Obituary

Sheehan, Stella Francis 68 formerly of Posen, IL, died March 28, Holy Thursday in Gainesville, FL of cancer. The daughter of Frank and Stella Krygowski, she was one of 12 siblings. She is survived by her children, Cary M. Sheehan, Jenny (Sheehan) Cannon, their families and 7 of her brothers and sisters. She was "Granny Stella" to 8 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. She was a not just a Registered Nurse, but a loving caregiver to many. She always had a love for good art, good food, good friends and she herself was a wonderful artist and an exceptional baker and cook. As a mother, the love she gave her children will be shared and passed for many generations. She was a loving sister, giving friend and gentle spirit. She would get on her soap box all day long for Pro Life and if you knew her at all you knew not to take the Lord's name in vain. One of her favorite songs was "What a Wonderful World", by Louis Armstrong and her favorite saying was, "Jesus, Jesus, Jesus, I trust in thee". If you were lucky enough to know her, you were pretty damn lucky. Her services will be as follows: Queen of Peace Catholic Church, Gainesville, FL., Thursday, April 11th at 11am and St. Stanislaus Parish - Posen, IL, Saturday, April 13th at 10am. Any donations can be made to Park Lawn Association in Memory of Stella F. Sheehan.

My Dear Stella, I think of you so often and always miss your laugh and wisdom. I miss our talks and just sitting with you in the sun outside the shop. I am still taking care of the plant you gave to me and think of you and send prayers and healing to your beautiful Spirit. Rest in Peace, my dear friend, in the knowledge that you lived well and loved well.

Stella was always there to lend a helping hand to anyone that she could and she always had a smile on her face. Even through the cancer she always was upbeat. Jenny took such good care of her and I know that she is looking down at Jenny and she has the biggest smile on her face. Love you Stella, rest in peace.

I've know Stella for many years and whenever I saw her she always had a smile on her face. She was always friendly and lent a helping hand when she could. It took alot to get Stella down and even with her cancer she always was upbeat. Jenny took such good care of her mom and I know that her mom is looking down on her now with a big smile on her face. Love you Stella and I'm glad you are at peace.
