A woman ahead of her time, emigrated to America after highschool from a poor but honourable and proud family from the war ravaged Greece. Carrying the smartness and beauty of the Christofilogiannis (Didonis) DNA she quickly adapted to the new country, where she met her perfect march, her husband Dean Sellas. As young kids in Greece we starred at the "exotic" wedding pictures that were send from USA and who had a special place in my mother's, her sister, living room. Growing up in Greece we were excited every time they visited the old country to hear the news, see the colors and sense the scent of our American relatives. My theia Stella and her perfect match theios Dinos adopted two beautiful kids, our beloved cousins Giorgos and Stavros. Later, at 18, she was instrumental for my emigration to USA for university studies and they gave me all the support needed, for which I am forever grateful. She was a strong woman, a leading figure, who excreted positive influence in many peoples' lives, especially to her relatives, with words and deeds. Theio Dino was joking that he married a younger woman to take care of him when he gets older but fate had it differently...Living in their house in Glenview I remember him saying often... (wife, the food you prepared is delicious but don't cook that again).... ...
