Stella Fowkes Obituary

Stella Titus Fowkes 1925 ~ 2004  MAGNA - Stella T. Fowkes, passed away peacefully January 13, 2004 surrounded by her loved ones.  Stella was born June 25, 1925 in Midway, Utah to Bliss and Leda Murri Titus. She married her sweetheart Hal W. Fowkes, March 14, 1952 in the Manti Temple. Stella was always active in her church callings and served a full time mission in the Pacific Northwest and a Church Employment Mission. Despite her sicknesses and afflictions she was always happy and upbeat and every person she met was considered a friend. Stella loved to quilt and read. She was proud of her heritage and a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers. Most of all she was a loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother. She will always be remembered for the way she raised her family and for life's lessons she taught on a daily bases.  She is survived by her husband, children, Marylynne Bearnson, Dave (Lindy) Fowkes, Bruce (Karla) Fowkes, Suzanne (Gary) Chavez, Robyn (Rick) Stam, seven grandchildren, two great- grandchildren, sisters, Maryann (Robert) Hansen, Diane (Roger) Shields. Stella was preceded in death by her sister, Reba Titus and brother, Russell Titus. Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, January 17, 2004 at the Spencer 6th Ward, 3832 South 8000 West, Magna. Friends may call 10-10:45 a.m. prior to services at the church. Funeral services under the direction of Peel Funeral Home. Interment: Midway Cemetery.
