Zurek, Stanley B. of Evergreen Park, age 89, veteran of U.S. Army WWII; beloved husband of the late Angela A. (nee Pradziad); loving father of Jerome (Dolores), Elizabeth Zurek and the late Susan Bruenning; proud grandfather of Sharon, Eric, Joseph, Jeffery, Kimberly and Stephen (fiancee' Margie); great-grandfather of Mark; fond brother of many; uncle of many nieces and nephews. Funeral and interment private. Visitation Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. at Kenny Brothers Funeral Home, 3600 W. 95th St., Evergreen Park. Stanley will be missed by the neighborhood birds & squirrels. Angie and Stan were wonderful to my children. Obviously, Angie was our babysitter, but Stan loved taking them on "field trips". His favorite trip was probably going to the pumpkin farm every year. He and Angie would also take them to see deer roaming a cemetery as well as fishing. My children are grown now. Sonia becomes a veterinarian next May. Bob graduated from DePauw University last May, and is working in China for a year. As they go thru life, they will have fond memories of spending time with two wonderful people. Stan and Angie were a third set of grandparents to them. May they rest in peace.
