Sonja Mendosa Obituary

Mendosa, Sonja Annemarie (nee Ebert), of Dolton, beloved wife of 50 years to Fred Mendoza, died Sunday morning at St. Francis Hospital in Blue Island, after a long illness. Mrs. Mendosa was born in Kosice, Hungary to Maria A. Ebert (nee Stengl) and Ludwig Ebert of Germany (both deceased). Survived by her beloved husband, Fred Mendoza; dearest sister, Dagmar Reay of Hammond, IN; her niece, Angela Reay; nephews, Fred (Beth) Reay and Mark Reay; grandniece ("Granddaughter"), Makayla Reay; sister-in-law, Lilly (Joe) Barroso, Rachel (Jessie) Carrillo and many nieces and nephews in Moline, IL. Memorial contributons can be made to St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church in South Holland, IL. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 27, at Burns-Kish Funeral Home, 5840 Hohman Ave., in Hammond, Indiana from 5 to 9 p.m. The funeral will be held on Wednesday, August 28, with a prayer service at 9:30 a.m., at the funeral home followed by a Mass at St. Jude the Apostle Catholic Church, 900 E. 154th St., South Holland, IL.
