Starkman, Sidney L. beloved father of Sandy (Larry Pachter) Starkman, loving pappa of Uri Ayal and Avram Saul Pachter, dear brother of Mary (the late Adolph) Winkler of Santa Monica, CA., favorite uncle of Eileen Tannenbaum and Geraldine Ruderman, devoted son of the late Louis and Esther (Glabman) Starkman, fond cousin of Annette Berg and Miriam Sokol, cherished friend of many. Service Wednesday, 9:30 a.m., Congregation B'nai Emunah, 9131 Niles Center Road, Skokie. Interment Rosemont Park. Lyons Street, Suite 18, Morton Grove, IL. 60053. Sidney was a man with a great sense of humor. He had a strong will to live who always saw the bright side of life. He was a man that appreciated his good fortune and never forgot his community. He continued to amaze the hospital staff and his doctors with his positive attitude, even in the face of medical crises. The family wishes to thank Dr. Roger Billhardt and Dr. Henry Danko of Rush Presbyterian St. Luke Hospital for treating him until the end with great respect, dignity and concern for his well being.
