Shirley Rivett Obituary

TROY – Shirley Margaret Rivett, 77, of Bank Street died Monday, January 30, 2006 at home.

Born in Troy, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Beatrice Conway Laurent and wife of the late Douglas T. Rivett, who died in 1996.

A lifelong resident of Troy, she was a graduate of Catholic Central High School. Shirley was a homemaker and loving mother most of her life. Previously she worked for the NY State Department of Transportation.

In her younger years she was a league bowler. She was an avid NY Mets fan and loved animals, especially her dogs.

Survivors include three sons; Roger M. Rivett, Douglas C. Rivett, and Stephen G. Rivett all of Troy, several nieces and nephews, and several in-laws.

Shirley was predeceased by her sister June Weller.
