Sherry Simental Obituary
Sherry A. Simental, 58, February 19, 2021, lifetime resident of the South Side of Chicago-Canaryville neighborhood, beloved wife of Anthony M. Simental; devoted mother of Thomas (Mary) Bentley, Nicole Simental, and Taylor (Liz) Simental; loving grandmother of Kayla Ronzio, Jake Considine, and Gary Adcock; fond daughter of William T. and the late Stella Waslewski Houghton; loving sister of Deborah (Louis) Simental, William (Mary Anne) Houghton, and the late Dawn Houghton; dear sister in law of Michael (Karen) Simental, Sue (Steve) Atkinson, Jennifer Simental, and the late Debra Simental; cherished aunt to Kelly (Pat), Savannah, Joshua, Austin, Ryan (Kenny), Katie (John), Timmy (Isabel), Jamie, Stephen (Caitlin), Adam, and Gianna. Loving friend to many. also survived by her cherished Australian Shepherd, Ashe.
Sherry was a much beloved pre-school teacher's aide at St. Gabriel's School for many years.
Services at McINERNEY CENTRAL CHAPEL, 4635 S. Wallace St., Chicago, IL, where family and friends will gather on Tuesday, February 23, 2021, from 2 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral Wednesday, February 24, 2021, 9:15 a.m., at chapel, to St. Gabriel Church, 600 W. 45th St., Chicago. Mass of Christian Burial 10 a.m. Cremation following.
For those attending services, PLEASE NOTE THAT COVID19 RESTRICTIONS WILL BE OBSERVED– MAXIMUM GATHERING, 50 PEOPLE AT A TIME AT McINERNEY's, 140 PEOPLE AT CHURCH, WITH MASKS REQUIRED.
