Dear John, JR, and Jimmy,
So sorry for your loss. Carol was lovely, kind, and talented. I always looked up to her. When I was old enough to go into Chicago on my own, Carol gave me her insider advice on the buses to take, things to see, the restaurants to eat at... She also helped me with exotic purchases (e.g., chamomile) that could only be had from the BIG city. She wrote beautifully and had that Gougeon "puzzler" ability, wit, and sense of humor. It meant so much to me that she and John came to my wedding in 1997.
I hope you "boys" are comforted by your memories, can cook for yourselves, and stay in touch with us. Much Love

Dear John, John and Jim,
I am so sorry for your loss. Carole was such a wonderful and caring woman. She was my son's second mother. I couldn't thank her enough for taking him in as one of her own sons. I admired her calmness in raising her boys. She was the perfect example of a loving mother.I will miss running into her from time to time. My memories of her will be of one beautiful person. Stay strong. Many prayers for your family.
