Severine Grzyb, age 93 of Schererville, IN (formerly of South Chicago Vet's Park) passed away on Saturday, October 1, 2022. She is survived by her loving husband, Frank Grzyb; children, Gloria Bass, Judith (Robert) Gaik, Diane Grzyb and Paul (Judith) Grzyb; grandchildren, Steven (Samantha), David, Bryan (Mallory), Christine (Ethan), Valerie (Patrick), Jeffery (Michelle) and Kevin; great grandchildren, Mason, Cameron, Tyler, Henry, Penelope, Charlotte, Beau, Lincoln and Jaxson; sister-in-law, Joanie Kulakowski; and numerous nieces and nephews. Severine was preceded in death by her parents, Stanley and Helen Kulakowski; sister, Loretta (Thaddeus) Piaskowski; brothers, Ernest "Bubbles" Kulakowski and Edwin "Babe" (Loretta) Kulakowski; and son-in-law, Douglas Bass. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, October 7, 2022 DIRECTLY at Sacred Heart Croation Catholic Church 2864 E. 96 th St. Chicago, IL with a 10:30 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial offered by Reverend Stephen Bedenikovich. Interment will follow at Holy Cross Cemetery Calumet City, IL. Visitation will be on Thursday, at KISH FUNERAL HOME 10000 Calumet Ave. Munster, IN from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and again on Friday, at the church from10:00 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. Mass. Severine was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Croation Catholic Church and a member of Local 27-Grain Millers. She was employed for 42 years with General Mills. Severine loved visiting Las Vegas and was an avid card and slots player. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Severine's name to Hospice of the Calumet. www.kishfuneralhome.net
