Sean Curtin Obituary

I was organizing my books recently, and I found one of the boxing books that Sean co-authored. I still miss him. Sean was a great guy.

RIP my friend. You are missed

Thanks for the friendship, the advise, and for being there for me in 1989, when we won the Golden Gloves title together. I'll always remember you Sean.

A good friend and boxing mentor. We won a golden glove championship together back in 1989, my last fight. He was great in the corner , a great referee , and a great friend. Chicago boxing will never be the same without him. R.I.P. Sean.

I am so very sorry - I can't imagine the depth of your loss. You know I adored Sean, and have the GREATEST memories of you two picking me up at Meigs and then lunch was always an adventure! Sean knew every amazing local place and knew everybody! He was funny, outgoing, caring and so dang sweet! I truly enjoyed my first boxing match - front row seats too! I miss you, Pat, and please take comfort in your family, friends, pets and the wonderful, wonderful memories you have.

Boxing will be a bit poorer for Sean's passing and those of us in the sport are richer for knowing him. I will miss his humor and just sitting around shooting the breeze. My condolences to the family and you are all in my thoughts and prayers

My condolences to friends and family of our good friend. He will be truly missed by many for the many things he's done that many don't even know about.Personally he always found time to be there for my family whenever there was a family function going on. In Chicago boxing we lost a legend to the sport a historian a great piece thats been missing since you left the city. The boxing history that you are taking to your grave is unparalled and Chicago boxing has lost a true chieften . Your legacy will live through the ages with the great books you put your heart and soul in .

My dear Boxing Amigo, I remember our time in Germany with Barney, boxing and coming back to one day teach the sport we loved so much. Also remember the Blue Grotto there and you learning Spanish from us. I know you're with Barney in that boxing ring in the sky. I will miss and remember you always.
