Our wound is still fresh, we bleed tears of sorrow everyday and night. We long to see your handsome face, hear your gentle laugh, and touch your helping hand. Oh how we ache. Yet we rejoyce in believing, in knowing that today you celebrate your Golden Birthday, beyond the golden gates, with Christ our Lord and Savior, and all of your family and good friends who also been called home. Know well that we love you and miss you oh so much.
Happy Birthday Mijo. Love you always, Mom, Dad, your Bros and Sisters (Arturo, Miguel, Janie, Angie, Evita).

We were shocked and deeply saddened to find out that we lost our friend Santos. We only met him a few short years ago but, he made a big impact. He was a really great guy. What a terrible loss for all of us especially his family and friends. Our deepest condolences to all.

I met Santos in 1993 through Tanya and Tony Burmistrz. From a boy to a man he remained the same generous and loyal person. My prayers are with the Senteno family and Tony. What i wouldn't give to see Santos make that famous monkey face one more time.

I would like to say that Santos was a great person and a great friend. Its always a sad situation when someone goes before their time. Knowing someone like Santos was a great experience. From playing basketball to football to just being around him. He was the type of person that made those around him better.

I Love Santos because he’s my son, Santos was a good son, a good brother, a good uncle, a good cousin and a good friend. Santos was the most humble sincere kind person I ever known. He was humble but yet proud, proud of his life and the way he lived for he had nothing to be ashamed of.
I love Santos because he always had a heart of Gold. He was always willing to give or do anything he could whenever he was asked without asking for anything in return. Whether you were family, friend or a stranger it didn’t matter. If you called him at 3:30 in the morning because your car broke down on the expressway he would get up and go pick you up. If you were hanging drywall and need help he would give you a hand. If your car needed a brake job he was there. If you asked him for the last 3 dollars he had on him, they were yours. He truly was selfless and better than gold, he was precious he was priceless and he was ours.
I love Santos because he was good at everything he did. He was a good engineer, a good mechanic and a good technician. He was a good Athlete, good at baseball, basketball, wrestling and he was a good coach. Santos was good at horseshoes, darts, beanbags, poker, pool, jacks, paper rock scissors, name your poison he was good and probably going to beat you. He could have been the best at anything if he really wanted. But he had no need to be the best, being good enough was good enough for him. He just wanted to be part of it all and enjoyed it all.
I love Santos because he was true. Santos was true to his Cubs, true to his family and friends and anyone who called him a friend. Santos didn’t lie cheat, steal, connive or scam. He’d tell you how he saw it and believed what he said. He might not have been always right, but he was always real. He was genuine and he was one in a million. How could you not love him?
I Love Santos because of the way he lived his life, because of how he lived. I know he has enter thru the gates of God’s Kingdom and will be on his right side, always there to help us in our need, give us strength in our weakness, comfort in our sorrows with his memory, his strength and his love.

I love you Mijo, I love you Santos and I know you’ll always loves us back.

I feel honored to have known you and I am not sure how life will be the same without you. It feels somewhat strange thumbing through this guest book and seeing these names that I haven't really seen since graduation in '99, especially when doing so for this reason.

Even though I never really got to know people in H.S. like I could have, Santos was definitely a friendly face that I remember, especially when it came to wrestling.

Taking note as to how you are raising your family had given me clues as to how I can raise my sons. It is evident that your patience, discipline but most of all unconditional love provided a strong family foundation and values that were clearly noticeable in Santos. My husband and I met Santos for the 1st time on the 4th of July, just this year! He came to our house with Melissa, and he was a joy to be around, a very nice and respectful person! How Ironic that my husband happened to be on his way 2 work that tragic morning, witness the accident, and be with him as he took his last breaths. i dont know how to do this you were so close to my family i cant believe i wont see you anymore hanging out in the garage with my dad or my brother. you started out as my brothers friend but ended up as our friend santos. my dad said he cant believe hes not gonna see his lil buddy anymore and that is true you are and will always be missed by so many people i have so many memories of you santos and i just cant come to the realization that i wont see you anymore you were always there for me and my family shoot santos you were part of our family. sometimes i liked you more than my own brother i cant imagine what your family is going through if i cant even handle this santos my dear dear friend we will miss you imensly and will never forget any of the times we had together love to you and yours you will never be forgotten by anyone who truly knew you forever in our hearts and memories. love you man!!!

I've known OF Santos since I was a sophomore in high school, but it was not until my senior year that I really got to know him. We developed a friendship thanks to Algebra III and wrestling. Santos was an amazing person who always had me laughing. I haven't seen or talked to him in two years, but I have thought of him. It is sad that he was taken from this earth so early, and I will miss him dearly. I take solace in knowing that he is beyond this world of pain.

My condolences to the entire Senteno family and friends. Leslie, I can't imagine how terrible you must be feeling. We are not as close as we once were, but know that I miss you, and think of you. I keep you all in my prayers. This too shall pass.

I must agree with Bob's assessment of Santos. He was an inclusive individual. As one of the worst wrestlers on the team, and just a "tad" couple of weight classes beyond him, he always beat me with grace and humor .... especially humor, the brief couple of weeks we were on the team.

Santos could always be counted on to provide a much needed laugh and a helping hand. Something I am sure his family and friends can attest to.

There is one lesson I took away from my kids this year and I know it is cliche, but to me it helped, I pass onto you, "It is never Good-Bye, But Rather See You Later."

I will get my rematch!

Santos was the most feisty one of the Senteno Boys, and held his ground at all times! That's what I loved the most about him. Small but full of energy! It is always difficult when an important member of our family passes, and often this is made worse when a person is taken too young. I met Santos as a kid growing up on the East Side. I played basketball, baseball, and volleyball with and against Santos. He was one of the most inclusive people I have ever met. Santos befriended all, joked with all, and impacted all that he met. The last time I saw him was at the SFDS Donkey Basketball event, and he was still the same kind, caring individual he had always been. He represented the best qualities of his friends and family, and his absence will sorely be missed as time passes. He was unique.

IT's so hard to believe that your gone, the only comfort is knowing your up there with other family. You will be missed!! I miss your smile and laughter and as I write this I can still hear your silly laugh in my head! I hope that I will never forget it!!

I remember when I first met you 13yrs ago, you were this cool, suave, skinny guy walking past my house. I just had to stop you and from that day on we have always been friends. You never changed, you were always so happy, and playful, and down to earth, I could always count on a smile when I seen you. Oh and you were dirty lol :) you were forever working on a car or just getting into stuff, your hands were stained cause you worked so hard. Speaking of cars, you had so many, my favorite was the banana boat, cracked me up seeing you Mr.Cool Guy cruising around in it.
