Dear family of Sandy,
My dear husband, Larry, who passed away 4 years ago would have wanted me to give you my condolences. Larry was the principal at Devonshire school for many years and I believe he hired Sandy originally. He always spoke highly of her and what a wonderful job she did with the children at Devonshire. I am sorry for your loss and hope you take comfort in all the wonderful memories you have of her and how highly so many people thought of her.

I was shocked and deeply saddened to hear of your profound loss. Please accept my sincere condolences on the passing of your beloved wife, mother, and grandmother. Sandy was a class act: beautiful, intelligent, thoughtful, caring, and a remarkable educator. Sandy was my cooperating teacher when I was student teaching in 1971 at Ballard School. She was an outstanding role model as a teacher and as a human being. Sandy had such grace and style. One always felt they were the most important person in the world when engaged in conversation with her. Sandy will truly be missed by anyone who was fortunate enough to know her. May you all find some peace and comfort in your loving memories of her.

My Aunt was an incredible person. The best comparison that I could ever come up with is that she was just like Jane Fonda.

Loving, Beautiful, Vibrant, Fiercly Intelligent, Giving, and the most wonderful person. Before it was fashionable or even mainstream, she was exercising and eating right. She loved being outdoors and walking through the Botanic Gardens.

Most importantly to our family, she was the glue. The wise one with all of the answers and the plans already in place. I know that she was the big sister to my mom, and the second big sister to my Aunt El.

Living in California, we are not around those who knew her; and we were unable to make the trip back for the funeral. We were so lucky to have been with her just a few weeks ago; and I will forever cherish the last few family gatheringss we had the opportunity to share together, where she spent time with both of our young children and even bought them presents.

This world will truly miss such a dynamic and wonderful person, who truly touched and improved the lives of everyone who came into contact with her.

We LOVE You AUNT SANDY, and will miss you more than you will ever know. You were our Moose, our Rock, and will forever be with us in our hearts.

Your Nephew Matthew, Julia, Jordan, Ariel and of course Malibu.
