MOWEAQUA - Mr. Samuel W. "Sam" Oesch age 73 of 1508 E. Lake Ave., Peoria IL. formerly Moweaqua, IL. Passed away Saturday, September 8, 2007 at 3:35 AM at Proctor Community Hospital, Peoria, IL. His visitation will be 7-9 PM Monday at the Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home 2408 W. Willow Knolls Dr., Peoria, IL. and from 4-7 PM on Tuesday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, 1115 E. Washington St., Bloomington, IL. His funeral service will be 1:00 PM Wednesday at the Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL the Rev. Frank Zimmerman officiating. Burial will be at East Lawn Cemetery, Bloomington, IL. Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Assoc. Arrangements are being handled by Calvert & Metzler Memorial Home, Bloomington, IL. He was born February 2, 1934 in Deer Creek Twp., IL. The son of Milton Leo and Augusta Caroline Pagel Oesch. He married Patricia "Pat" Boaz on November 27, 1957 in Bloomington, IL, She survives. Also surviving are his 3 children, Belinda (Robert) Miller, Pana, IL, Mark (Karen) Oesch, Moweaqua, IL and Brian (Barb) Oesch, Dalton City, IL, 3 children, Belinda (Robert) Miller, Pana, IL,Mark (Karen) Oesch, Moweaqua, IL, Brian (Barb) Oesch, Dalton City, IL. 1 brother, Lawrence (Dorothy) Oesch, Peoria, IL and 4 sisters, Violet Kath, Carlock, IL, LaVete Stauffer, Loretta Oesch, Yvonne (Herb) McClure all of Bloomington, IL. Other survivors include his 6 grandchildren, 1 step granddaughter and 3 great grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, 3 brothers and 3 sisters. Mr. Oesch was a former funeral director for Dawson-Wikoff Funeral Home, Decatur, IL, he retired in 1988. He served the in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Obituary written by family members.
