Kaplan, Sam D. 92, beloved husband of the late Emma (nee Twersky), devoted father of Iris Kaplan Baer, loving grandfather of Joel (Jamie) and Daniel Baer, adoring great-grandfather of Morgan and Myles, dear brother of Beverly (the late Mike) Shapiro, the late Maurie and Mickey (Bess) Kaplan, cherished uncle of Allen (Lauren) Shapiro and many others. Services Wednesday, 2 p.m., at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.), Skokie. Entombment Memorial Park Mausoleum. Donations in his memory to the Jewish United Fund, 1 S.
