Age 57, of Carol Stream, beloved husband of Debra (nee Miceli), loving father of Salvator (Jessie), Joseph and Charles A., fond grandfather of Mia Bella and Rocco, caring brother of Gary (Mary), Steve (Nina) and the late Tony, dearest friend to John and Carol Piemonte, many other relatives and friends. Visitation Thursday, 2 p.m. until time of funeral service 8 p.m. at Brust Funeral Home, 415 N. Gary Ave., Carol Stream. Interment private. 630-510-0044.

I am very saddened to hear of Sam’s passing. I went to St. Gen’s grammar school with him and we also played on the same pee-wee league baseball team together. He was a stand up guy and a lot of fun. I am very sorry for your loss. My prayers are with you.
