Wald, Ruth (nee Finkelstein), 86, beloved wife of the late Leonard; loving mother of Marla (the late Craig) Aronow and Bonnie (Edward) Karlin; cherished grandmother of Cynthia (Bruce) Ahlmann, Ira Aronow, Jason (Kira) Karlin and Shari (Matthew) Perkins; adored great-grandmother of Tyler and Jocelyn; dear sister of Milton (the late Sophy) Fields, the late Barbara Stein and the late Marshall Fields; fond sister-in-law of Natalie Fields and Lois Wald; treasured niece of Nettie Berkson; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Chapel service 12:30 p.m. Sunday at Shalom Memorial Funeral Home, 1700 W. Rand Road, Arlington Heights. Interment at Shalom Memorial Park.
