Ruth Staten Obituary
VISITATION WILL BE THURSDAY, JANUARY 29, 2004 FROM 1:00-2:00 P.M. AT MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, TUSCUMBIA. HER FUNERAL SERVICE WILL BE AT 2:00 P.M. AT MORRISON FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, TUSCUMBIA WITH VIRGIL TITTLE OFFICIATING.
MRS. STATEN WAS A NATIVE OF COLBERT COUNTY AND A MEMBER OF THE BAPTIST CHURCH. SHE WAS PRECEDED IN DEATH BY HER LOVING HUSBAND, TRAVIS W. STATEN SR AND SON, DANNY CARLTON STATEN.
SURVIVORS INCLUDE HER DAUGHTER, BECKY EVANS AND HUSBAND JOHN F. EVANS SR. OF SHEFFIELD, WITH WHOM MRS. STATEN LIVED WITH AND WHO WERE HER SOLE CARE GIVERS, SONS, DENNIS STATEN OF TUSCUMBIA AND DODY STATEN OF LITTLEVILLE, NINE GRANDCHILDREN, AND FOUR GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
PALLBEARERS ARE T. J. MATTOX, TINKER EVANS, DUANE EVANS, DAVID EVANS SR., JOHN EVANS SR, AND VICTOR DESPINGNO
THE FAMILY WOULD LIKE TO EXTEND THEIR SPECIAL THANKS TO DR. RANDY POUNDERS, AND NURSE, STACY, TRI-COUNTY HOME HEALTH CARE, ASHLEY AND LAURA, CAREGIVERS PLUS - LEE AND A & E HOSPICE AND NURSES AT SHOALS HOSPITAL.
