Pine, Ruth (nee Handelsman), beloved wife of the late Harold Pine and the late Meyer Lipner, loving mother of Harvey (Millicent) Pine, Jay (Andi) Pine and the late Dr. Brian H. (Sherry) Pine and Jan (the late Stanley) Brasch, Linda Wolters and the late Saundra (the late Tom) Mayfield, proud grandmother of Rhona (Ira) Chick, Laurel (Andrew) Marovitz, David (Jodi) Pine, Dr. Harold Scott Pine, Robert Adam Pine, Brett Pine and Tracey Pine, cherished great-grandmother of six, dear sister of Lawrence (Mitzi) Handelsman. Funeral Wednesday, 10 a.m., at the Weinstein Family Services Wilmette Chapel, 111 Skokie Blvd., Wilmette (one block north of Old Orchard). Interment Rosemont Park, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, contributions to Hospice of the North hore, 2821 Central Ave., Evanston, IL 60201 or Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center, 1275 York Ave., New York, NY 10021. We are with you in spirit and heart and feel sorry for your loss. Ruth was a great inspiration and example of how to live this life to the fullest. We didn't spend very much time with her but danced with her which will always be in our memory.
