Milavetz, Ruth Berman 89, beloved wife of Munroe, loving mother of Karen (Richard J.) Weiland, proud grandmother of Jacob, Ezra and Nathan, dear sister of Julian Berman and Fred Berman and the late Muriel Kerns, fond aunt to many nieces and nephews. Funeral services 1 p.m., Wednesday, at Piser Funeral Services, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd., Skokie, IL. Interment Rosehill Cemetery, 5800 N. Ravenswood Ave., Chicago. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Community Counseling Center of Chicago, 4740 N. Clark St., Chicago, IL 60640. Funeral Info: 847-679-4740.

Karen, your mother was a wonderful person. I remember when we were Brownies and then Girl Scouts. I'm glad she was at home and at peace at the end. You have all my support.

Karen, Our thoughts and prayers are with you and yours. This was a sudden loss but at the same time I'm so glad for your Mom that she could be at home as she wished. You are a wonderful daughter and it's been a privilege knowing you and helping with your mom's care. Be good to yourself.
