Leonard, Ruth Hattes (nee Blatte), 97, beloved wife of the late Arthur Hattes and Max Leonard, loving mother of Neil (Ann) Hattes and the late Morton Hattes and loving step-mother of Rochelle (Bernard) Berne, Irving (Marilyn) Leonard and Larry (Lynn) Leonard, adored grandmother of Diane, Karen, Keith, Deborah, Ruth, Ellen, Steven, Ronald, Sharon, Kenneth, Steven and Aaron and great-grandmother of 23, dear twin sister of late Margaret and four other siblings. Owner with her husband Max of "Leonard's" Juvenile Shop" on Morse Ave. for 58 years Graveseide services Friday, 2 p.m. at Westlawn Cemetery, 7801 Montrose, Chicago. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the North Shore, 2821 Central Ave., Evanston, IL, 60102. Aunt Ruth's loving heart and strong, joyful spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her. I thank God for the blessing of having her in my life. In my heart, I treasure memories of special words she spoke to me, during good times and bad, and a vision of her sweet smiling face.
