Dear Bonnie and Dodie,
What goes around, comes around...and then life goes on. Stan had recently told me how he saw your Mom at your cousin's funeral and how she would not let go of him! That was a real Ruthie. It is really amazing all the things I remember of her, knew her since I was a little girl and neither of you were born yet. Cyvea was MY girlfriend in those days. Even remember the apartment in Logan Sq. where we all lived and remember when the Brusin's moved north, to Budlong Woods! I remember your Mom and my Mom and the kind of friends that they were and especially their committments to City of Hope. A committment that we all grew up to emulate. All these years I have been involved in many different kinds of organizational efforts, not any of it would have been possible if I had not learned it all from Ruthie. And all that followed in the wonderful life that your Mom was, Ruthie Brusin is a memory that I will always cherish with love. May her memory be for a blessing and all that knew her will love her forever.

With sincere condolence,
Zelda and Dick

Dodie and Bonnie, So sorry to learn of your mother's passing. I remember your folks very well as wonderful people. Their dress shop was my favorite store, and, in fact, I wore one of their dresses on my 1st date with Ken. Holly has that dress now! Ken joins me in expressing our sincere condolences.

Bonnie and Dodie, So sorry you're adding another name to those who have passed from your lives in recent years: Dad, sister Cyvia, Dodie's, beloved Elliott, Aunt Hattie and recently, Andrew. Was saddened to read of the passing of your mother now too. Please know you are in my thoughts as I send my condolences to your families. Carole's friend, Mims

We are truly sorry for your loss. "Alan's Grandma" reminds us much of our own and we felt an instant connection from the moment we met Ruth. She was warm and welcomed us to your family with love. Warm Regards.... Tracy, Greg, Alexie & Alyssa (Tracy = Joni's sister)
