Hattie Brusin Obituary
Brusin, Hattie (nee Itzkowitz), 93, beloved wife of the late Marvin Brusin, devoted mother of Carole (Andrew) Kabel and Rabbi David (Sandra) Brusin, loving grandmother of Joshua (Stacy) and Yoni Brusin, Adam and Scott Kabel, dear sister of the late Jake, Bessie, Sadie and Charlie, sister-in-law of Ruth (the late Bernie) Brusin and Jeanne (the late Jack) Babbitt and Florence Robinson, adored aunt of many nieces and nephews. Funeral services Tuesday, 1 p.m., at The Piser Chapel, 9200 N. Skokie Blvd. (at Church St.), Skokie. Interment Westlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Hattie's name to City of Hope, 5215 Old Orchard Road, Skokie, IL 60077. Info: Piser Funeral Services 847-679-4740.

I was so sorry to hear about Hattie's death. We were choir buddies for many years at Logan Square Congregation. I did see her when my concert choir entertained at her place of residence. She will be missed.

I just heard of Hattie's passing. She was a fellow choir member at Logan Square and I did see her a couple of times at the retirement facility where I sang with another choir. She was full of fun and energy and loved by all. I still hear her voice at Yom Kippur. So sorry I didn't hear about her death and certainly would have attended the funeral.

Although I was unable to pay my last respects in person, Hattie was my Aunt Bessie's sister dearest to me. I loved her love of life and good humor and will cherish my memory of her. May God keep her soul and reward her for the good life she lived.
