Russell Drewry Obituary
In addition to his wife, Mr. Drewry is survived by one daughter, Red Sayles and husband, Scott; one son, Brian Drewry and wife, Pam, both of Madison Heights; eight grand- children, Adrian, Eva, Corbin, Elan, Quinn, Isley, Colton; and Ella; two nephews, Christopher Drewry of Ocala, FL and Russell Drewry of New Orleans, LA and a sister-in-law, Lorna Drewry of Ocala, FL. A funeral service will be conducted at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, January 12, 2012 at Whitten Monelison Chapel with the Rev. Earl F. Clarkson, Jr. officiating. Interment will follow at Presbyterian Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:30 - 8:00 p.m., Wednesday, January 11, 2012 at the funeral home. Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Gideon's, International, 1236 Grove Road, Lynchburg, VA, 24501.

Our family is so very sorry to hear about Russ. we did not find out until Thursday night. Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with the family. Russ was such a solid Christian man, a rare find. I will miss my talks with him!

My heart felt prayers are with the family of this wonderful man I knew here at Dodson. I will always remember his conversations with me, we shared laughs and on occasion, a few tears of sincerity.

Linda, my heart goes out to you and the family at such a sad time as this. Many people called him Russ but as you know I always called him Lynne. Lynne and I go back many years ago while attending Phillips Business College and living at Mrs. Holt's home. Lynne will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was such a wonderful friend and I'll miss him dearly.
