Hi Family and Friends,
We couldn't let this opportunity pass us by to add our love and testimony to those already shared for our wonderful grandfather. We are so greatful for his exemplary life of faith, devotion, and service. We rejoice in the good news of the gospel that we know we will see him again thanks to the sacrifice of our Savior.
With deepest appreciation and love to all our family members.

Grandpa was one of my heroes and I'm sad to here that I can't enjoy his presence any longer in my stay here on Earth. For sure he is in a better place and enjoying himself.

There isn't anyone in the world who is a better father and man that my dad. I am grateful to be part of his family forever and am glad he taught me how to love. I never doubted his love for me and it kept me going through some tough times.
I hope that my children are able to feel that much love from me. He was a great example. I'll never forget singing with him at 1:00 am in the in morning the day he died. He remembered every word and sang along - My Blue Heaven - and now he is in heaven. We have a wonderful family - I love you all.

There are people in this world who are "supporters" - those who help lift others and hold them up a little higher just by virtue of who they themselves are. Russell had a way of doing that for me - I always felt that I had his full support and that he believed in me. I will miss his quiet ways, his ever constant whistle, and the way his eyes would twinkle when he winked at me to include me in his joke. I am grateful to be eternally connected to such a sweet man.

It has been a very long time since I visited with my Uncle Russell Alley, probably sometime in the 50's. I remember him as a family man and someone who tried very hard to keep up with his energenic wife Carol, the sister of my mother. He will be known to me as a world traveler, magnificent photographer, and a fun guy to be around. From my father, W. H. Godfrey, now 93, and my brother Bob, we send our best wishes to the family and the cousins we grew up with--Russ, Karen, Sondy, John, Charlie. We love you guys. We can only imagine that the reunion of Russ and Carol in the spirit world was wonderful.

Grandpa's love for the Lord and his desire to serve Him was a big example to me. I remember when he and grandma would come home from thier missions and tell us stories and show us pictures, it installed in me at a young age the desire to serve a mission as well.
Grandp you will be missed, but you and grandma are on your next mission and I couldnt be more excited for you.
I love you.

I remember whenever we were visiting him he would always whistle and not seem to be aware of anything, & he was always happy.

I remember we would always go pick up Grandpa around 6:00AM for Christmas and we would open presents with him.

I remember at Christmas that he would always sit on our leaf couch and sometimes he would fall asleep with my presents.
