Ross Walter Obituary

Ross C. Walter, 86, of Hesperia, passed away Sunday morning, July 23, 2006, at his home.

He was born on Nov. 19, 1919, in Coleman to Sam and Agnes (Donaldson) Walter. He had been employed by Consumers Power Co. in Saginaw for 30 years, until his retirement in 1975. He was a member of the First Reformed Church in Fremont. On March 21, 1940, he married Marjorie Huber; she survives him along with his son, Ronald (Karen) Walter of Alto; two granddaughters, Shannon (Mike) McAvoy and Lindsay Walter; one great-granddaughter, Lilianna Marie McAvoy; one sister, Ethel (Ted) Shepherd of Lewiston; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by two sons, Tommy and Terry Walter.

The funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at the First Reformed Church in Fremont, 348 E. Main St., with Ron Glass and Pastor Vern VanDerWerff officiating. Graveside Services will be held at noon of Thursday, July 27, 2006, at the Warren Township Cemetery near Coleman. Visitation will be at the Kroeze-Wolffis Funeral Home in Fremont from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday.
