To the Miller Family;

How lucky you were to have a Mother like Rose, so gentle yet so strong, so loving and so caring, always putting others needs before her own. I will miss her smile and her wonderful sense of humor and the enjoyable stories she would tell about the old neighborhood. You can be comforted in the fact that God now blesses her on her journey to join him in her rightful place along with your father and the rest of the Gaughan family. May God Bless all of you as you celebrate Rose's life, while knowing that she was everything God intended her to be while here on earth, and much more.

With Great Sorrow;

Steve and Bridget Gaughan Family

Dear Ones,
I am so sorry that I will not be with you for your mom's funeral mass. I was blessed to have known your mom for only a short time. There are so many things to say about her. She had such a wonderful sense of humor and always had a smile for everyone. She radiated love and peace in her last years. Always a smile and a kind word. The love you all showed her in her life time was a example of what family is about. Sleep peacefully at night knowing that your mom is now having one of her famous martini's with all of her pals in that better place we call heaven.
I will contact you when get home and we can tell Rose and Marty stories. You will all be in my prayers on Saturday. Love Mary Kay

My thoughts and prayers are with all of you. I will miss visiting with Aunt Rosemary and talking on the phone getting her perspective about life in Chicago and I loved hearing her talk about The Gaughan Family and all of the history surrounding growing up in Edgewater and St. Gertrude's Parish. Aunt Rose was instrumental in helping us find Grandpa Gaughan's birthplace up on Ox Mountain in Attymass, Ireland during our trip there in 2004. She was one great lady!

Rosemary is my neighbor, Dee's mom. Dee always had such wonderful things to say about her mom. She sat with us once outside when she visited Dee & Dennis. She was a delightful woman sharp as a tack and a real pleasure to be with. I know her family was totally devoted to her and she will be missed as a mother, mother in law, grandmother and friend.
She left this earth on her terms, and now she is in a better place with the angels watching down caring for her family; as they did her.
