I worked for Mrs Kellam for many years servicing her swimming pool. She was a wonderful and vivacious senior. One time in the fall I suggested she may need a new liner in the spring. Her answer to me was, honey at my age I don't even buy green bananas. I still think of her often and Hope I will have the grace that she had. [email protected]

To the Kellam Family,
I am the other sister that had the privilege of meeting Rosemary in Door County along with the other "wild widows". To this day, I still smile when I think of all of them sitting on the bar stools, sipping their martini's and wine and cutting up with the bartender! Such great memories that I will cherish forever. It is my wish to live a life like Rosemary with a kind heart, a joy for life and a wicked sense of humor! My condolences on a tremendous loss.

Dear Kellam Family:
I just found out about the passing of Rosemary through another "wild Widow", Mary Alice Lee. I am one of the sisters that had the privilege of meeting Rosemary in Door County many years ago. I will never forget that occassion as we surely thought that we were being indoctrinated into a cult. A cult of "Wild Widows" that dressed up as a nun, that could deliver a joke like nobody else, and who was endeared in my heart in a most heaven sent way. Although we didn't see each other often (maybe 1x/year), I will never forget Rosemary. I raise my glass to her. In Rememberence, Gail Williams

To the Kellam Family,
I was saddened to hear of your Mom's passing. Your Mother and Father are one of the many reasons St Thomas More was a great parish to raise a family. May all the great times be remembered by you all to help you through your difficult ones. I'm sure your Father, Kevin and St Thomas More were there welcoming home. RIP Mrs. Kellam and may God Bless you all.

To Katie and Family, Your Mom was the funniest lady and the most compassionate woman I knew. She did Phyliss Diller at our wedding and it was my favorite memory. We hugged at Christ one day after she yelled, whats a Dooley doing here? Our deepest sympathies to all of you. She will be missed.

To all the Kellam Family, I was sor sorry to hear of the passing of Heff.
She was the best. I often think of her Phyllis Diller and her ORGINAL cleaning lady skits. Carol Burnett could have learned a thing or two from her. Althoough I am sad at her loss, I think of her smile and her kindness and all the good memories help me as I am sure they will help you all too. She was also friend to the animals; Cindy and Maggie. Did you remember she had a funeral for my turtle with a candle? Love to you all! I was sorry I couldnt make the wake or funeral due to my crazy work schedule; so I am writing this before I leave. You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Here is my candle for your mom, she was a great light in my heart and inspiration to me with her warmth, maybe she helped me to go into social services. I will be thinking today of my parents and your sitting around a table having drink and a great laugh like the many others and no doubt telling Kevin to, "Get us a drink, Kev."

Katie and Family, I am so sorry for your loss. Your mom was such a wonderful, giving woman. She was a tremendous comfort to my parents, bringing them Communion when they were in hospice care. That lady could light up a room! Her wit was sharp and her hearty laugh contagious. May loving memories of your amazing mother give you comfort in the days ahead.

Joanice, Bob, Jill, Rick, Barbara, Pat, Kate, James, and all of your wonderful children, and the beautiful little grandkids,
May the closeness of your family and the beautiful life "Nana" lived be a comfort to all of you.
Thank you for sharing Nana with our family and so many others -- in "Tommy More" and in St. Linus. Nana and your whole family are the epitome of why so many of us wanted our kids to grow up with a taste of old Tommy More, even if it was only for a few years early in their lives. Even in your dad's last couple of years and as Nana prepared to move, successive dens of Cub Scouts were welcomed into your home to learn about their community's history from a wonderful neighbor who had lived just about every minute of it. And, of course, Nana was often at the sports fields to watch some of her own play or coach, but it seemed she knew who everyone else's kids were, too, and cared about their fun and success just as much.
And then there was St. Linus, where "little" Ray was called over for a popsicle and a little visit time and again for years as a 2 year old's memories of one of his own grandmothers steadily and naturally receded. There's always been a pleasant interest in all our family's activities and accomplishments that still leaves us scratching our heads given the closeness and size of your own family. Even in recent months Nana would be asking frequently about those away at school or anyone of us she had not seen for a few weeks. And there's so often been a patient ear and an occasional gem of wisdom for the parents of five, but only when wanted! One could never ask for a more wonderful next-door neighbor.
Farewell, Neighbor! If you were not in Heaven "a half hour before the Devil knew you were dead" the rest of us are in for some pretty tough sledding. May you rest in peace and may we all meet again in God's good time!
God bless your whole family,

To the entire Kellam family, thanks for sharing "Nana" with SO many people. Your mom has touched so many lives. Some of my favorite memories are when our kids were in school at "good old Tommy More", Wednesday was late start day. But more importantly, it was "Breakfast Club" day at Nana's house. Nora and Em would bring Maggie and Jackie every Wednesday for a great start to the day....donouts, cookies, juice, pop, OR anything they ever wanted!! The memories you have can not be counted, the love she shared can never be duplicated, she was ONE in a Million and all those that she touched are a much better person because of her. What a legacy she leaves behind. May God Bless you all as the gates of heaven open up for one amazing woman!
