Rose Kovacs Obituary

Kovacs, Rose 81, a longtime resident of Oak Park, passed away February 13, 2003, at Central Baptist Village, Norridge, IL. Born in Hungary, Rose and Joe Kovacs (deceased 1984) and their two young daughters came to the United States in December 1950, sponsored by the First Presbyterian Church of Waukegan, IL. She is survived by her four children: Judy Kovacs of Oak Park, Margie and David Gilchrist of Oak Park, Joe and Jean Kovacs of Mokena, Ern and Dawn Kovacs of Naperville; and six grandchildren: Heather, Kari Anne and Laura Gilchrist, Amanda Rose Kovacs, Carrie Orlos and Ronnie Gasaway; and three great- grandchildren: Kevin Van Dyke and Michael and Andrew Orlos. Rose was a member of First Presbyterian Church of River Forest. Visitation will be held Tuesday, February 18th at Peterson Funeral Home, 6817 W. North Ave., Chicago, from 5 to 9 p.m. Service also at Peterson's on Wednesday, February 19th at 10 a.m., with interment following at Fiarmount Cemetery, Willow Springs.
