Cox, Rose M. 82, of Geneseo, died Friday, March 17, 2006 at Trinity Medical Center West Campus, Rock Island. Memorial services will be 2 p.m., Monday at Vandemore Funeral Home LTD, Geneseo. Rev. David Esche will officiate. Inurnment will be at Oakwood Cemetery at a later date. According to her wishes cremation rites were accorded. Memorials may be left to the American Diabetes Association. Rose was born on January 12, 1924, in Chicago, IL, the daughter of Steven and Sophie (Cloud) Demkowicz. She had been employed as a dispatcher/router for Nabisco. Rose was a active member of the Geneseo Senior Center, and Kitchen Band, AARP Officer, and Friends of the Library. She also was a volunteer at Hammond-Henry Hospital. Survivors include: two sons & spouse Conrad Cox, Livermore, CA, Michael and Laura Cox, Geneseo, IL, three grandchildren , Amy, Debbie, & Katie Cox, one sister, Olga Polus, Victorville, CA, many other family and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother Mike Demkowicz.To plant trees in memory, please visit the Sympathy Store.

Well she was 82 when she passed. So long ago, she was active in her own ways and I am told she helped out the Somodi family well. They truly miss her in their own way. I keep in touch with her one son Mikey Cox. Fond memories.

Rose was a wonderful and active woman. She was a great person to be around. She was loved by everyone. Rose will be missed very much.

There is no love like the love of a Mother. One is never ready to let her go. I have lost both my Mother and my Father which I miss very much. I want to express my deepest Sympathy to Mike and his family. Like her name Rose, I am sure she was a beautiful loving Mother.
