Nine years since Ron has passed, probably eleven since we last spoke, and more than twenty since we´d last spent time together. I did not know of his passing until I happened upon his obituary by chance. The fact that someone whom you worked with a few times on an annual project has had such a lasting impact, that he is still remembered today, and has been spoken of in a most admirable way, many times over the years, is testimony to the kind of man he was. Honest, generous, and a delight to be around, Ron was both a powerhouse, and a warm, kind spirit. For that is how he treated me and anyone around us whenever I had the good fortune to be in his company. God bless you Ron, your wife Maryann, and your children. You left a positive, indelible mark on many, and I feel blessed to have known you!

Ron is one of my heroes. He is someone who I have always tried to emulate when it comes to being a husband, father and grandfather. Ron has always been crazy about his family and he proved it every day by his actions. He is a hero to me because of the way he treats others. Thirty some years ago when I first meet Ron one of my duties was keeping inventory of United Insurance's paper stock. I needed to go into the second basement of the building and count boxes. Ron would always insist on coming with me to count. It amazed me that I was a 20 something year old kid just starting out counting paper stock in a dark cold second basement with the president of the paper company. The thing that amazed me the most is that Ron treated me like I had been his friend for years and that I was the CEO of Untied Insurance, not a paper counter. Of course that is the way Ron treated everyone. He always made life more fun and you always felt better about yourself and others when you were around him. Ron thank you for being such great man and such a great friend!
I will try my best to follow your wonderful example!

My condolences to Ronnie's family.

We went to Stevenson Elementary in 7th and 8th grade, played sports together for years, and are both U of I alums.

Ronnie always had a great, warm and welcoming smile and made you feel special whenever you met.

I am sure he will be missed by all who knew him.

We met Ron and Maryann when our daughters started first grade together. We enjoyed evenings with the Chickasaw Homeowners group and shared many laughs. It was a loss to our neighborhood when they left, but we're happy to know they had many years together since. We are sorry for your loss - a great husband, father, and we're sure, grandpa! Our prayers are with all of you.

I was very saddened to hear this news. Thanks to Michaelene for letting me know. Ron was an unbelieveable person. He and Maryann were in my thoughts not long ago - one of those moments where a memory just pops into your head. I was dating Lisa in high school and I remember them sitting close to each other on the couch and thinking that I'd like to have a marriage like that and a family like they do someday. May God bless the whole family.

Words can never be what you want to say - what you feel - on the loss of a wonderful person - Ron - an admirable, courageous, loving man, so devoted to Maryann and to his family! My family's first recollection of Ron is when we found out that he and my late husband, Ted, played ball together! Our kids became good friends in your years living in Chickasaw, and through the years, you've never been far from our minds as we prayed. God's promise to us is an unforgettable one that I'd like Maryann and your kids to remember - we will all be together again some day enjoying His eternal glory. God's Blessings and Love to all the LaBine Family on the loss of an awesome guy! Your memories and ours will never go away! Barbara and the Muszanski Family
