After all these years, I still miss you being here. I keep your photo framed with the Holy Spirit Medal you gave me so many years ago. I pray for you and to you. Your holy ways surely keep you close to God. Be in Gods Love

Roger was the best friend I ever had. He helped me through enormous difficulty, as he did for so many people.

He was a great man who knew how to change and when to change along with the grace God gave him. He also knew how to laugh at himself and to profit from the ordinary things that usually bother most of us. May God reward him for his goodness and love to so many.

I am missing Roger more everyday. He was such an important part of our lives for 38 years. I watched him grow and mature in his spiritual life as well as in his personal relationships. He was such a model for me in his faith in God in so many aspects of his life. I try to visit his grave and talk to him 2 or 3 times a week. Then I feel that we are still in communication.

I love and miss you, Roger, but I know that you are with God in heaven wherever that may be.

Roger's father and my mother attended school together in Hoslwang, Germany so I have known him since I was a small child living in Prospect Hts., IL. I attended his ordination, he married my husband and I in 1964 and baptized my children. Anytime there was a crisis or death in my family, I received a call from him. I will miss him terribly. Now I wish to you, Roger, PEACE!

I was shocked to learn of Roger's death, as I was trolling the internet and came upon this guest book. Roger and I met as freshmen at Girard. "Flunkie" and I were good friends and fellow seminarians, and I will always cherish the fond memories I have of Roger and his fabulous abilities and love for life. I have not seen him since leaving the seminary in 1958. Remember me from your perch on high, dear friend, until wel meet again...bob elliott

Rog was a beloved brother, uncle and great uncle. His death is a huge loss to his family and many friends in the Cleveland area. He was a gifted, lovable human being. We will miss him very much.

On behalf of my parents, Bob and Marie Brandl, I would like to offer our sympathy on your loss. Unfortunately, we missed him on his recent visit to Pittsburgh. One of the great memories of my childhood was Fr. Roger's first Mass at St. Basil Church in Pittsburgh. It was an inspiration and I was so proud to be even distantly related to this wonderful ,spiritual man.

I was saddened to hear about the death of Roger. I was one of his students at Techny. Two years ago we had a pleasant conversation at Techny sharing what each of us had been doing since the late 1960s.

As always Rog was not only excited about seeing me but also about the work he was involved in. After more than 3+decades Rog still exuded the same intensity, enthusiasm and friendliness that I remember experiencing as a young theological student at Techny.

I’m thankful that I had even this brief encounter to thank Roger for what he did for me personally and to see again his omnipresent energy. This is the grace that I treasure most.

Roger was truly an inspirational person - My experience of him is a person who treated one with dignity and respect - a great intellect, full of energy and fun. In summary He "acted justly, loved tenderly and walked humbly with his God" Will always think of him with fondness and treasure the moments he shared with Bede and myself

My Dear Roger,
My Life Mentor...My Best Friend -

Your journey of learning, growing, teaching, sharing, and giving has brought you to the place you want to be...With God in His Love. You once answered my question, 'Who is God' by saying "He is All Intelligence, All Love and He is Real".

You will always be imprinted on my heart. Thank You for All You've Given Me.

Until we meet again....
Love and Peace. Susan
