We were very sad to hear the news that Roberto passed away so suddenly.He was such a charming man and always so nice and sweet to all the Russells.(We knew him before we knew his granddaughter, Erin!) I know he made everyone smile. May it give you some comfort knowing that he died peacefully....and very much loved.

I was very sorry to hear about the loss of your beloved Roberto. He always had a smile on his face and a song in his heart. He helped me get through the bad days just with his kind words. The times we went for coffee after working out at the gym were always very special as he was a wonderful friend. He even tried to teach me Spanish. I will miss him dearly.

Roberto was a very kind and sincere man. I knew him as a pleasant acquaintance and Bally's Northshore club. He will be missed dearly. My prayers are with the family

To my dearest grandfather,
I will always remember our fun times together mischieviously eating too many sweets or scratching lotto tickets together. You had a gift to make people feel welcome and always charmed them with your smile. My favorite memory of you was your daily goodbye's to Eli- "Cabesa con Cabesa" as you rubbed your foreheads together! May you rest in peace and know we are thinking of you! To Grandma, Madeline and Phil we love you and will always be here for you.

Martha and Robert invited me to their home like their own grandson. Within minutes of talking to Robert, he would make you feel like you knew him forever. I will miss his lively conversations and his generosity. All my love to you Martha and Madeline.

My uncle was a very special person and I'm glad I was able to let him know. I'll never forget his good sense of humor, his love for his family, his solidarity with the oppressed and his sociability. We will always remember him. We send our love to Martha, Madeline and Mijo.

Roberto was one of my late father's oldest
and dearest friends(Mateo Canizares). My deepest sympathies to all the family.

Martha, I am sorry for your loss. I admired your long lasting marriage and the example you left for your children. I haven't seen you in a long time but I've always considered you a friend and my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family

My uncle, may he rest in peace, I will never forget how much he cared for me. As a child I remember memories of him brining me and my cousin treats from the train station. As an adult his guidance on being careful, and alway his smile and funny jokes. My last conversation with him was this Easter and as always he was so sweet and truly touched my heart when he said he carried my daughter's picture in his wallet. May God hold him close. I hope you and my father and grandma are together enjoying heaven now! Another angel to guide us. To my family I love you!

My all time favorite uncle (tio Roberto): Thanks for your kindness, your love, your happiness and generosity. My family and I will always remember and cherish your life and admire your values and convictions. All our love to Martha and Madeline.

To the Oton Family,
Jerry and I are sorry for your loss. I had met the Otons a couple times at Tarpey gatherings, and felt a real friendship with them. Mr. Oton is in out thoughts.

Every morning that I worked out at Bally's in Morton Grove was made special when my friend Roberto would enthusiastically greet me with a big smile and handshake and say how is the champ. My heartfelt condolences to the Oton family. I will miss my friend.

Working out at Bally's, I always relied on Roberto to brighten my day. I am so sorry for your loss.
