Roberta Kaplan Obituary

Kaplan, Roberta "Bobbie" (nee Band), age 69, beloved wife of Irving Kaplan, loving mother of Scott (Jane) Kaplan, Michael (Carol Cooper) Kaplan and Billy (Jennifer McCray) Kaplan, adoring grandmother of Sarah, Andy and Ben Kaplan, Lauren and Jenna Kaplan and Hannah Kaplan, dear sister of Velma (Les) Cohen, fond sister- in-law of Joan (the late Norman) Kaplan and the late Pauline (Lester) Mitchell, aunt of many nieces and nephews. Bobbie's fight with cancer spanned over 27 years. Having beat it in 1975 and in 1985 she fought this last battle for 2 years. Having spent many years as a homemaker, Bobbie entered the work world when her youngest son entered Junior High School. Bobbie spent many years in the printing industry starting as a Bookeeper and eventually became the Office Manager. Since retirement Bobbie and Irv enjoyed their leisure time traveling and spending time with their children and grandchildren. Services Friday, 11:00 a.m. at Congregation B'nai Jehoshua Beth Elohim, 901 Milwaukee Ave., Glenview, IL 60025. Interment Shalom Memorial Park Cemetery.
