Mrs Greenlaw was my 3rd and 4th grade teacher at Sumner School, I still often think about her, you never forget special people. I would like to give my condolences to Mr. Weaver (who was also my math teacher at Sumner) and the rest of the family. May God bless you all.

Mrs. Greenlaw welcomed me with open arms at Sumner Academy. I was a white woman teaching in an all black school setting on the west side. Even though I had experience in the deep south and the projects of St. Louis, I was still mighty scared. She put me at ease and made me feel at home. She was the most amazing woman I have ever met. Having a music background myself, I was totally in awe of her. She could sit down at a piano and play anything without a note of music in front of her. Her teaching skills were phenomenal, and her humbleness about it was astounding. She taught me so much and she wasn't even aware that she was doing it. I will never forget her. Cynthia Myers

I will always remember my Lake Meadows (401) neighbor from '76-'86. Roberta provided support and mentoring for me as I started my career in the Chicago Public Schools. I am blessed that Roberta passed my way. I am wishing Bob and the family good memories and peace.
