Through my lifelong friendship with their son Pete,I was afforded a very special relationship with both Bob & Gail, who's memories I have always kept close to my heart.I'm absolutely certain that they are now seated together at the 50 yd line in heaven and rooting us all on for the remainder of our lives. Two fine human beings, who are dearly missed, but will never be forgotten!
God speed to the extended family during the grieving of Bob's passing.
Go Bears, Go Sox, Go Hawks, Go Bulls !

Bernie and I extend our deepest sympathies to Bob's family. He was a great friend and colleague at Argonne National Laboratory, and our friendship continued after retirement. He was a basketball and football referee in earlier days, which fueled his love of all sports. His passion for the Bears and White Sox was contagious. I know he is resting in peace and is truly missed. He was a very good man.

Jackie and I express our sympathy to Bob's family. Bob was a great friend and colleague at Argonne National Lab. I enjoyed many years of highly competitive tennis matches with Bob. We celebrated and suffered with the Bears and White Sox.

My wife, Judy, and I offer our condolences to Bob's family. Bob was one of my favorite "teammates" - the best third baseman that I ever played with. We will miss Bob's warmth and easy-going style. Bob was also a dedicated co-worker at Argonne, who contributed in many ways. We were fortunate to recently spend a little time with Bob at a local restaurant - a chance encounter. Although we had our Cubs/Sox differences, we did share a common Notre Dame love.
