Robert Miehle Obituary

Miehle III, Robert B. of Chicago, died Friday night July 15th, he is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Beth, his son Mark Robert (Sally), and daughter Lisa, Mr. Miehle was a 5th generation Chicagoan, whose grandfather invented and founded the Miehle Printing Press, now Rockwell International. The Miehle Printing Press was the first offset color printer and won a medal at the Chicago World Fair. Mr. Meihle was an equity real estate developer who built Beverly Industrial Park, formerly a Chicago bridge and iron facility. He was a founder of the Kenilworth Sailing club and longtime member of the Chicago Yacht Club in addition to other clubs. He also served on various boards. As an accomplished sailor, he won numerous trophies. A memorial service will be held at Holy Name Cathedral, 735 N. State St., Wednesday, July 20th, 11 a.m. Please, In lieu of flowers, send donations to the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago, 345 E. Superior, Chicago, IL. 60611. or to Holy Name Cathedral, 730 N.
