I had Bob at De La Salle in 1966. This was his last year teaching there. Bob was a great guy and very knowledgeable. Before graduation the guys from 59th St thru a dinner party and invited Bob. To our surprise he showed up. What an awesome man. I never knew he continued on at Marist. May he Rest I Peace.

I unfortunately did not have Mr. Meyers as a teacher during my Marist years. However, if we were able to select our teachers back in the 70's I definitely would have liked to learn for a year with Bob. All my friends loved the guy and even though I didn't experience his classroom knowledge and wisdom, I would have liked to. Everyone considered him a very knowledgeable man when it came to literature and it's interpretation. But what I gathered from brief conversations and other students and staff, is the man was a very kind and overall nice guy. Combine that with a professional and you have a teacher made of gold. Rest in Peace Mr. Meyer. You were indeed an integral part of what makes Marist such a great high school and place to learn from great teachers.

I am so sorry to hear of Mr. Meyers passing. He was a great friend to my Dad and I have a lot of fond memories of him. I am sure they are both up there sharing some laughs over a glass of Drambuie.

A wonderful and warm friend-we will miss you at the monthly breakfasts, but you will always be there in spirit and in our hearts. Rest in peace.

I am sorry that I won´t be able to attend Bob´s funeral. When I think of my 15 years at Marist, Bob is a big part of that memory. Lunch times were always better and funnier if Bob had the same one. Faculty Christmas plays, post report card parties, and off-site parties wouldn´t have been the same had he not been there. We had a great time as a faculty and every good memory has Bob in it. Heaven became a lot more fun thanks to its newest addition.
