McLaughlin, Robert P. age 83, of Elmhurst, beloved husband of Dorothy (nee Rickert), loving father of Mary Ann (Roger) Grabowski, Kathleen, Peggy (Jay) Wilkins, John, Michael and the late Patrick, proud grandfather of Roger (Misako) Grabowski, Sarah (Michael) Harte, Julia and Paul Grabowski and Patrick Wilkins, dear brother of John (Arlene), Genevieve (the late Edward) O'Donnell and Lorraine (Richard) Jiran. Navy Veteran of WWII, member of IBEW Local 134, American Legion Post #0187 and BPOE #1531. Visitation Sunday, 3 p.m. until 8 p.m. and Monday, 8 a.m. until time of funeral 8:45 a.m. at Gibbons Funeral Home, 134 South York Road (½ mile north of Saint Charles Road), Elmhurst. Mass of Christian Burial 9:30 a.m. at Visitation Catholic Church. Interment Assumption Catholic Cemetery, Winfield. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Ray Graham Association, 2801 South Finley Road, Downers Grove, IL, 60515 or Special Olympics of Illinois, PO Box 897, St. Charles, IL, 60174. Uncle Bob was always one of my favorites. I will remember him as a loving and caring Father and Husband to another one of my favorites, Aunt Dorothy. I can see him and Aunt Laine "up there" doing the Irish Jig right now! Heaven just became a nicer place! My thoughts and prayers are with all of you at this difficult time.
