McGowan, Robert E. beloved husband of the late Connie (nee Apicella), loving father of Diane (Robert) Wiegmann, Robert McGowan, Donna Gillund, and the late Denise (Ed) Schuch, cherished grandfather of Artie, Mike, Jonathan, Robert, Eric, Conor, Michael, Madalyn and Gabriella, fond brother of the late Jean (late Joe) Vermette and the late Pat (late Gene) Lech, caring uncle of many nieces and nephews. Visitation 2 to 9 p.m., Wednesday. Funeral Thursday, 9:15 a.m., from the John Sheehy and Sons Funeral Home, 7020 W. 127th St., Palos Heights, to St. Alexander Church.
