Mace Sr., Robert J. World War II Army Veteran, beloved husband of Florence (nee Gallinger) for 62 years, loving father of George (Marilyn) Mace, Karen (Guenther) Wenninger, Robert J. Jr. (Vanessa), Kenneth (Cynthia) Mace, and Kathryn (Frank) Clark, fond grandfather of 16, great grandfather of 7, brother-in-law of Connie Slenk and Roy (Judith) Gallinger, also survived by many nieces and nephews. Services Friday, 11 a.m., at Cumberland Chapels, 8300 W. Lawrence Ave., Norridge. Interment private. Member of Henry A. Honack Post #1583 VFW. Dear Mace Family - I just heard about Mr. M. I'm so very sorry for your loss and that I was not aware of it sooner. He was an awesome man with a wonderful sense of humor. My deepest sympathy.

Dear Pop's
I know that you are looking down from heaven, and will alway's watch over your family. You have alway's been a good father-in-law to me and I will miss not seeing you, even though it was not as often as it should have been. I know that you did and still do know how much I love and respected you. I will miss the stories that you would share when you were in the nursing home.
Sorry I couldn't be there for your fare-well, but you are in a special place in my heart.
