We fondly remember Dr. Bob as physician and friend to three generations of our family - us, our three daughters and our first grandson. He calmly diagnosed a heart attack and rushed me off to NWCH to be their first bypass patient in 1991.
Though we had to change to other doctors for insurance reasons many years ago, we will always remember and cherish the memories of his gentle and reassuring manner. God bless his memory and his family.

God saw he was getting tired
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around her
and whispered, "Come with Me".

With tear-filled eyes we watched him
suffer and fade away.
Although we loved him deeply,
We could not make him stay.

A golden heart stopped beating,
hard-working hands put to rest.
God broke our hearts to prove to us
He only takes the best.

I've been seeing Doctor Kase since he started at the office on Plum Grove Road in Rolling Meadows.I saw him just a few weeks ago and as he was looking through volume three of my case chart we began reminicing about how long it had been. Although I always called him Doctor I, like everyone who new him, thought of him as a friend. He was the BEST and we all will miss him greatly. He cannot be replaced. Dr. Kase was a fantastic doctor and a good friend. I feel truly blessed for having known him. I will miss those days out on the golf course, chasing after errant tee shots. Always the positive thinker, if a ball was heading out of bounds, Dr. Kase would swear that it hit a tree and came back into play.

My deepest sympathies go out to his family, friends, and co-workers.

May God bless you and take you into his loving arms for all time.

February 26, 2007

To the dear family members, colleagues and friends of Dr. Kase, please allow me to express my deepest sympathy. Not only was Dr. Kase a caring, intelligent doctor, he was a man who loved a great turn of phrase and shared his quirky sense of humor. Just two weeks ago, he proudly escorted me into his office, to share the small shrine he had to his girls. He was proud of your academic achievements--and your ability to conduct a good shopping trip! Please know that you all are in my prayers. Dr. Kase no longer needs them--he went, much too early, home.

February 26, 2007

What a man and doctor. In our many rounds of golf at Fox Lake, he taught me so much about life. I remember how we would be golfing and making fun of all the people in the office buildings that had to work. Now I’m one of those suckers in the office buildings jealous of all the people out golfing. I will always remember those perfect golfing days and the thousands of laughs we shared. He never let anything get him down even when he would three-putt. He always made sure everyone around him had a good time and lived life to the fullest.
