To the Hogan Family,
I didn't know your dad personally, but my sister Mary did, and she always had nothing but kind words to say about him and all of the Hogans.
My thoughts and prayers are with you in your time of sorrow.

Cousins,
I'm sorry I could not be there with you to celebrate your Dad's life.
I'm sure he's in Heaven dancing with Aunt Kay and working on his golf game.
Love,

Glancing thru the paper tonight and I saw the death notice for your dad. My sympathies to all of you at the loss of your dad. It made me think back on some of the fun/crazy times over at your house in our teen years! If I had seen it earlier in the day I would have taken Friday off to attend the funeral and pay my respects in person.
Wishing you God's comfort and peace at this time of saddness,
Chris

Barney will always be remembered as a a kind man who would absolutely light up when you mentioned any member of his family. He told me one day "your children are where you return to when you are no longer there." As a young Mom he always inspired me because of the way he raised his loving family. He had many friends here at Brighton Gardens but mainly he leaves behind many hearts that he was able to touch.

I will always cherish my many summers at Grandma Hogan's and Uncle Barney & Aunt Kay's. Those were bright spots in my life. I was allowed to experience life. I was treated like one of the kids. Uncle Barney always called me the hillbilly. When he would pick me up at the train station he would say, "Hillbilly, you have shoes on! Did you take the rocks out of them yet?"
I will miss Uncle Barney. The family was so close and I love them all.
