To the Entire Gallagher Family,
I was so sorry to hear of the passing of Mr. Gallagher. I am one of the many fortunate people that benefited from his leadership, sense of humor and kind words.
He was one of the great ones, that we rarely find. He truly made a difference and left this world better than he found it. We all will miss his presence among us, but cherish what he taught us through his example. This is why he will always be remembered and thought of with love and respect by all who knew him.
My thoughts and prayers are with all of you and hope that the fond memories of Mr. Gallagher will be a comfort to you.

To Mrs. Gallagher, Rob, Cissy, Annie & Katie,
I'm so sorry for your loss. Your Dad was one of our favorite "family uncles" and he will be very much missed by all of us. You are in my thoughts and prayers, God bless.
PS. My favorite photo as a little girl was taken with your Dad at my brother's Christening in 1951 -- he had "movie-star" good looks!

I was fortunate to be a mentor to 10 students from fifth grade through high school. Each kid was a recipient of a Gallagher Scholarship. I watched these gifts give each of the kids the opportunity to succeed. Not only did the scholarships provide opportunities for of these students, but in many cases enabled their families to send their brothers and sisters to school. Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher were personally involved and lead by example. The Gallagher Scholarships have changed thousands of lives. Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher have made a difference in the world today, one person at a time. I am very honored to have known Bob

I was privileged to have had Mr. Robert E. Gallagher and his now deceased brother John P. Gallagher as role models and supporters early in my career. Their qualities as businessmen, fathers and husbands are something that I have always tried to emulate. They left the world better then they found it.

My deepest sympathy to all the family members of this generous soul. For thirteen years, I was a Catholic School Principal in the city - always at a "Big Shoulders" school. You will never know the incredible impact for our young people who became "Gallagher scholars" in fifth grade and were supported through the rest of their grade school years by this man's gift. In 7th grade, when the group hosts a dinner for their generous benefactor, the scholars revel in the personal attention Mr. and Mrs. Gallagher gave to each individual. I'm hoping from his vantage point in heaven, Mr. Gallagher has a "bird's eye view" of every one of those now hundreds of young people, whose lives have been so positively affected by his generosity. "Well done, good and faithful servant!"

To The Entire Gallagher Family,
Please accept my sincere sympathies in the death of your beloved Bob. I didn’t work closely with him but when I did have the opportunity to meet him in the hallway or elevator he always greeted me with a smile, a good morning, afternoon or evening. I could tell from just a kind hello, that he was one of those truly gracious individuals who made life so much more pleasant for everyone around him. I am so happy to have known him. He will be truly missed.

On behalf of the entire Aranda Family, our deepest sympathies go out to Mr. Gallagher's family and friends.
One of the great memories I will cherish is sitting in Mr. Gallagher's office, from the time that I was 10 to just before I joined his father's company full-time, and listening to his stories, hearing his laughter and being in awe of the wisdom with which Mr. Gallagher had. I had the privilege of getting to know him through the Gallagher Scholar program from 1995 on out.
He was a rare person, so willing and eager to be selfless. He gave so much to this world, and his ultimate reward is his rightful place in the kingdom of Heaven.
Mr. Gallagher, you touched my life and my family's lives like you would never have imagined. I don't know where I would have been without your emotional support.
My prayers go out to Mrs. Gallagher and the rest of the family. Please know that "Uncle Bob" really made a difference in this world. He will be truly missed, but his legacy will live on in all of us.
He was a saint on Earth, and he will remain that way in our thought and hearts.
May he rest in peace.
